I'm going to be completely honest here.
Elopements have become my favorite type of wedding to photograph by far!
Why?
Because they are so intimate and personal.
There is little to no stress, less details, not many things to think about except for the two most important people on that day, and there is so much fun that takes place with these types of weddings.
Not to say, you can't have the same things with a traditional wedding.
What I am saying is, it just comes down to personal preference.
Which brings me to a question that is most often asked
"SHOULD I ELOPE FOR MY WEDDING?"
The answer is, THERE IS NO RIGHT OR WRONG ANSWER, IT'S REALLY UP TO YOU AND WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU.
If you're up curious as to whether or not to elope for your own wedding, here are a few things to consider when deciding if it is the right decision for you.
Think about your wants/needs! What is your vision for your wedding? This is a very important decision that you and your partner need to agree on when taking the first step with this decision.
Family - Is having most/all of your family present for your celebration a big deal for you or is it enough for both you and your partner to do without everyone present?
Do you want your wedding to be big or small?
Do you want it just to be you two?
Do you want to travel somewhere to have your wedding?
Take into consideration your budget and what you are willing to spend for your wedding.
If you have considered all of this things and feel that the most important thing to you is you and your partner more on your wedding day than all of the details, then an elopement just might be for you.
In the end, it's all about what you and your partner want and feel would be best for you both!
Do your wedding for you and you will be happy with all of your decisions.
Upon making those decisions, having a professional photographer there to capture these precious memories for you is so vital.
